CLINTON TOWNSHIP — Most of the attendees at Clinton Township’s Nov. 12 Board of Trustees meeting were there to voice their opposition to a controversial powerline development by the International Transmission Company.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — The Clinton Township Civic Center was named after Bob Cannon in a surprise agenda item at the Board of Trustees meeting on Nov. 12.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — This year’s Wreaths Across America ceremony will be held at noon on Dec. 14 at Resurrection Cemetery.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — A Clinton Township man who allegedly shot at and chased three boys in his vehicle was formally charged on Oct. 30.

FRASER — Rebecca Jensen, Kathleen Mocco and Scott Wallace were all elected to the Fraser Board of Education for three six-year terms on Nov. 5.

ROSEVILLE — At press time, Roseville High School students were facing possible criminal charges after they were involved in two fights at school during the morning of Nov. 6.

ROSEVILLE — Roseville voters approved a change to the city charter to do away with term limits for the Board of Review.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — The November election brought a sea change in Clinton Township politics, from the supervisor’s post to trustee positions.

FRASER — The Senior Activity Center was packed with residents eager to make their voices heard about a controversial 24-hour gas station and convenience store in downtown Fraser Oct. 30.

FRASER — The Baumgartner House Museum received a President’s Award for historic preservation from Keep Michigan Beautiful Inc. in an Oct. 11 ceremony.

WARREN — The Presidential Book Club of Fraser offered up these things at an off-site dinner at member Carole Wiseman’s home Oct. 7.

FRASER — Members of the Fraser City Council were eager to move out of limbo and into the Fraser Public Library building’s future at its Oct. 10 meeting.

ROSEVILLE — The Roseville City Council last week unanimously approved awarding bids for improvements to the South East Regional Emergency Services Authority located at 18961 Common Road and the fire station located at 17644 Frazho Road. Mayor Robert Taylor was excused from the meeting.
