BIRMINGHAM/BEVERLY HILLS — In 2022, the Eagle covered an array of interesting stories, some of which we thought readers might want an update on.

BEVERLY HILLS — The Beverly Hills Parks and Recreation Board and village administrators have adopted an update to the five-year community recreation plan for 2023-2028.

FRANKLIN —  At a special workshop Nov. 21, the Franklin Village Council met to discuss amending the community’s outdoor lighting ordinance.

BLOOMFIELD HILLS — On Nov. 8, voters in Oakland County approved a new countywide transit tax, which requires residents to pay into a 0.95 mill collection, which is 95 cents for every $1,000 of taxable value of a home, for 10 years.

METRO DETROIT — Holly Anselmi, the owner of The Italian Dish in Birmingham, has worked hard to make in-person shopping a full sensory experience.

BIRMINGHAM — For 60 years, the Birmingham Youth Assistance has served the local community through programs and services for at-risk youth.

BIRMINGHAM — After successfully receiving the National Park Service’s recognition of the Greenwood Cemetery gravesites of Elijah S. Fish and George B. Taylor on the Underground Railroad Network to Freedom, local historians were motivated to continue looking for connections in Oakland County.

BEVERLY HILLS — For decades, Paul and Anne Kleppert have lived in an 1877 Victorian-style home that, until recently, sat behind what they referred to as the “loneliest sidewalk in Beverly Hills.”

BIRMINGHAM — Soon, residents and visitors will experience the new parking structure equipment that is designed to increase convenience and efficiency.

METRO DETROIT — While toys are often in the spotlight during the holiday shopping season, there are some exciting gifts that cannot be picked up at the store or delivered to a house.
