MACOMB TOWNSHIP — The final 2-mile stretch of the Garfield Road extension project is complete.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — On Saturday, Sept. 28, the 2024 edition of the Save the Manatee 5K took place at Lake St. Clair Metropark amidst damp conditions. As imperfect as such conditions are for outdoor events, perhaps it was fitting.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — Kids of all abilities will get a chance to have fun as the Macomb Township Board of Trustees approved the purchase of a new accessible playground for Waldenburg Park at its Sept. 11 meeting.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — Plans for overhauling the Harrison Township government offices have changed as township officials settle on a new direction for the existing municipal complex.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — Township trustees took a step toward the inevitable at their Sept. 9 meeting by approving an engineering contract to disconnect several homes from Mount Clemens water.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — The north side of 22 Mile Road will look a bit busier over the next few months after the Macomb Township Board of Trustees approved a special event permit for Deneweth’s Garden Center at the Aug. 28 board meeting.

MOUNT CLEMENS — The City of Mount Clemens announced on Aug. 21 that it would request the Department of Housing and Urban Development to release $3.5 million dollars allocated to pay for a portion of the Cherry Street Mall project.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — The Macomb Township Board of Trustees changed its tune about how it plans to sell off a piece of property, making its decision at the Aug. 14 meeting.
