ST. CLAIR SHORES — A St. Clair Shores family sells refreshing lemonade to their neighbors while also supporting a great cause.

METRO DETROIT — If you live or work somewhere close to Lake St. Clair, you’re likely familiar with fishflies — the winged insects that seem to arrive in swarms every summer, covering buildings, fluttering around streetlights after dark, and dying en masse under said streetlights, creating stinky piles of bug carcasses.

ST. CLAIR SHORES — With the summer months arriving and the weather heating up, there’s a lot of fun to go around, especially with the events planned in St. Clair Shores.

ST. CLAIR SHORES — The South Channel lights sit in Lake St. Clair, and it’s the mission of the Save Our South Channel Lights organization to preserve their history through restoration for generations to come.

ST. CLAIR SHORES — The St. Clair Shores Waterfront Environmental Committee held their 28th annual Nautical Coast Clean up on May 21, drawing a crowd ready to clean up the beaches in St. Clair Shores.

ST. CLAIR SHORES — Residents in St. Clair Shores have launched a fundraising effort to save the city’s water tower, a landmark they say holds great historical significance.

ST. CLAIR SHORES — The last time I had the opportunity to be in a parade, volunteering or otherwise, was in 2014. I was a high schooler at the time playing my instrument in a marching band in the early hours of Thanksgiving Day. I still remember all the fun I had at that time.

ST. CLAIR SHORES — On May 9, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer visited the St. Clair Shores Fire Department to tour the fire station and to give a speech about the work being done to support Michigan firefighters.

ROSEVILLE/ST. CLAIR SHORES/WARREN — A suspect is in custody and facing a first-degree murder charge, among other charges, in the death of a woman in Roseville and the stabbing of a man in St. Clair Shores May 17.

MACOMB COUNTY — In an effort to further provide opportunities to students who want to earn associate degrees, Macomb Community College has launched Macomb Tuition Advantage.

MACOMB COUNTY — Macomb County officials have announced plans for a new $228 million central intake and assessment center at the Macomb County Jail that will address the need for inmate mental health assessments.

ROSEVILLE/ST. CLAIR SHORES/WARREN — A suspect is in custody as Roseville police are investigating the death of a woman whom they found “unresponsive with what appeared to be several stab wounds to her body.”
