CLINTON TOWNSHIP —Tiffany Saigh had many teachers throughout her childhood, but none of them stood out like her fourth grade teacher.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — With Earth Day behind us and Arbor Day on the horizon, doing one’s part for the environment is on the conscious person’s mind. If the call to do something for the planet is coming your way, perhaps planting a tree is the place to start.

MACOMB COUNTY — A new method of drain repair was recently employed by the Macomb County Public Works Office, preventing further damage to a key sewer with minimal interference to locals.

MOUNT CLEMENS — Nobody likes blight on their block.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — Old, flat, unused and expensive: so says the Harrison Township Board of Trustees about a strip of land the township owns.

MOUNT CLEMENS — At its meeting on April 3, the Mount Clemens City Commission paved the way for the Administrative Hearings Bureau to have the force of law.

MACOMB COUNTY — The dynamic of community college sports is unlike any other.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — One is chance. Two are coincidental. And three, well that’s a pattern. There’s a pattern taking place with Harrison Township L’Anse Creuse athletics.

MOUNT CLEMENS — The Mount Clemens City Commission approved a motion to change the 65 Market Street tax capture and reimbursement plan at its March 20 meeting.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP —  Clinton Township has a budget for the 2023-2024 fiscal year as of the March 27 Board of Trustees meeting. The township’s fiscal year ends on March 31 and begins on April 1 annually.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — An early March chemical spill in Clinton Township’s Canal Road drain remains under daily watch by the Macomb County Public Works Office, according to a spokesperson for the agency.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — Green, stinky and ruining whatever it touches: That has been the calling card of the algae terror of Lake St. Clair, known so far only as Lyngbya.

MACOMB COUNTY — Macomb Community College students considering a career in the health care field will now have the opportunity to participate in an apprenticeship.

MOUNT CLEMENS — It was transportation night at the March 6 Mount Clemens City Commission meeting as commissioners agreed on two items related to the Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation, the region’s bus transit services provider.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — The Harrison Township Fire Department named Battalion Chief Jason Groth as the township’s Firefighter of the Year at the Monday, March 13, Board of Trustees meeting.
