BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP —  A 53-year-old woman has been accused of robbing a bank in Bloomfield Township.

Rushie Denise Shar was arraigned Oct. 13 in 48th District Court on one count of robbery. She was given a $75,000 cash bond and was lodged at the Oakland County Jail.

The incident was reported at approximately 12:15 p.m. Oct. 12, when the Bloomfield Township Police Department was dispatched to the Comerica Bank at 43332 Woodward Ave. for a reported robbery.

Employees told police a woman entered the bank and passed the teller a note stating she was robbing the bank — demanding money “with no dye.”

The teller handed over some cash, and the suspect left the bank on foot.

Bloomfield Township police quickly located the suspect, took her into custody and recovered the money. The FBI also responded to the scene.

A probable cause conference was scheduled for Oct. 24, which was after press time. Shar did not have an attorney on file at press time.
