Week 8 stats and scores across high school football

Center Line rushing attack, OLSM special teams standout in week 8

Center Line 40, Warren Lincoln 14: Center Line junior Avery Taylor had 18 carries for 158 yards and three total touchdowns (one receiving) while sophomore Masai Ali had 25 carries for 119 yards and a score. Sophomore Darius Wallace hauled in three receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown in the win.

 

Harrison Township L’Anse Creuse 35, Warren Fitzgerald 24: L’Anse Creuse senior Donovan Rey had 22 carries and one reception for 281 all-purpose yards and four total touchdowns (one receiving). Rey also tallied five total tackles and an interception in the win. Fitzgerald sophomore quarterback Dion James threw for 173 yards and two touchdowns while sophomore Angelo Lipscomb had three catches for 70 yards and two touchdowns. Junior Devon Billings added 83 rushing yards and a touchdown in the loss.

 

Harper Woods 54, Pontiac 0: Harper Woods senior Donavan Phillips and sophomore Dakota Guerrant each had two touchdowns.

 

Northville 27, Novi 25: Northville junior Max Defore rushed 25 times for 209 yards and a touchdown while junior Cooper Derkach added two rushing touchdowns. Senior Kaden Kuban also added a score on the ground in the win.

 

Orchard Lake St Mary’s 51, Bloomfield Hills Brother Rice 10: St Mary’s dominated in every way possible, returning a punt and a kickoff for a touchdown, courtesy of juniors Camari Patterson and Reece Hurst, and tallying two interceptions for a touchdown from junior Kareem Pruitt and senior Darrin Jones. Senior Richard Goike rushed for two touchdowns while senior Bryson Williams, who also had seven receptions for 107 yards, added a score on the ground.

 

Roseville 21, Romeo 19: Roseville senior Desmond Straughton had 19 carries for 104 yards and a touchdown while senior Herman Searcy stole the show, tallying three catches for 103 yards and a touchdown while returning two 98-yard kick returns for touchdowns. Senior D’Ondre Fordham had 13 tackles and an interception in the win.

 

Utica Eisenhower 41, St. Clair Shores Lakeview 12: Eisenhower senior Jack Bullock threw for 275 yards and five touchdowns while senior Conner Temple had six receptions for 181 yards and three touchdowns. Senior running back Bryce Hurley added 104 rushing yards and a score in the win.

 

Warren De La Salle Collegiate 49, Toledo St. John’s Jesuit 14: De La Salle junior Isaac Gattine rushed for two touchdowns while senior Mike Lopez and junior Damion King IV each added a score on the ground. Junior David Williams had an interception in the win.
