SHELBY TOWNSHIP — The Shelby Township Police Department is looking for a group of people who did not pay their food bill Nov. 30 at a local restaurant.
The Police Department said, in a post on crimewatch.net, that it needs “to get ahold of them to make sure the restaurant gets their money after feeding them.”
Sgt. Mark Benedettini, of the Shelby Township Police Department, said the group entered together and had a whole meal. Then, each person got up from the table and walked out the door separately.
“These people went into a local restaurant in Shelby Township and ‘dined and dashed’ on their bill. This happened in the evening of Nov. 30, right before the restaurant was closing,” Benedettini said via email. “There were approximately 4-5 people with this group, and after they ate their meal, they each got up at separate times and walked out on their bill.”
The restaurant and the amount of the bill were not disclosed.
Benedettini said that if anyone recognizes the individuals from the photos, that they should call (586) 731-2121, ext. 435, and ask for officer Carrie Bennett. The public could also submit tips via email to cbennett@shelbytwp.org.
