MACOMB TOWNSHIP — As winter gives way to spring, the Macomb Township Board of Trustees signed off on a list of repairs and improvements throughout the township at its March 22 meeting.

WARREN — Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Joseph Toia ruled in his written opinion and order on March 23 that Warren Mayor James Fouts can stay on the ballot and run for mayor for an unprecedented fifth four-year term.

HAZEL PARK — Authorities continue to search for a suspect who stole money during an early morning bank robbery in Hazel Park.

BERKLEY — The Berkley Public Safety Department put out a warning to residents after a “stranger danger” incident was reported March 22.

ROCHESTER HILLS — A 22-year-old man is facing a felonious assault charge after allegedly  stabbing a coworker during an argument about a woman.

FARMINGTON HILLS — In the early morning hours of March 12, members of the Farmington Hills Police and Fire departments responded to a reported structure fire at the Country Glen Condos, located at 30535 14 Mile Road, according to a press release from the city of Farmington Hills.

FARMINGTON HILLS — Farmington Hills Police Chief Jeff King recently announced a new tool at the department’s disposal to try to help solve cold cases and locate missing persons.

FARMINGTON — Last November, Mary Power suffered a stroke at her home in Farmington. Her husband was home at the time and called for an ambulance.

STERLING HEIGHTS — Sterling Heights police are celebrating their role in the arrest of a Pontiac man who they say is responsible for having a large stash of dangerous narcotics disguised as prescription pain pills, and also allegedly selling some of those pills.

SOUTHFIELD — Police were dispatched to the scene of an accident at West Eight Mile Road and Northland Drive at 11:30 p.m. March 11. A speeding red Ford Edge ran a red light, struck a silver Ford Edge and caught fire, trapping the vehicle’s occupants.

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP — An in-home aide has been charged after being accused of stealing thousands of dollars from an elderly woman she was hired to help.
