SOUTHFIELD — At 10:15 a.m. Feb. 9, Southfield Police Department officers were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 25000 block of Shiawassee Street after receiving a 911 call that reported there was an unresponsive woman laying face down in the snow.

FERNDALE — An apartment complex in Ferndale suffered major damage after a vehicle lost control and flipped over into the building.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — The Shelby Township Police Department will now have even more help to solve crimes throughout the township.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — On Jan. 10, the Shelby Township Police Department responded to Ulta Beauty at 7728 26 Mile Road for a retail fraud report. The manager advised the police officer that three women entered the business and left the store with $6,000 worth of inventory that they had not paid for.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — On Jan. 20, officers from the Shelby Township Police Department began receiving reports of mail stolen from local businesses. Some of the mail that was stolen contained checks for large amounts of money.

MADISON HEIGHTS — A man waiting for a bus to arrive was killed when a driver left the roadway and struck him. The suspect then fled the scene, only for police to track him down.

A repairman is facing charges after allegedly stealing a 14-karat gold chain from inside a home in Bloomfield Township.

STERLING HEIGHTS/CENTER LINE — A Center Line man is facing a murder charge after a shooting that resulted in the death of a 24-year-old man at a Sterling Heights hotel on Feb. 1.

WEST BLOOMFIELD — The lives of three siblings were celebrated at a funeral service at the O.H. Pye III Funeral Home in Detroit Feb. 7.

MOUNT CLEMENS — Teenagers incarcerated at a state juvenile center in Grayling are moving south in the coming months.

A 90-year-old man from Rochester Hills died in a head-on collision Feb. 9 in Oakland Township.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. Feb. 7, the West Bloomfield Police Department received a 911 call about a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle.

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP — A man arrested for allegedly threatening a driver with a plastic gun during a road rage incident in Bloomfield Township has been charged with assault.

ROCHESTER HILLS — Meadow Brook Hall, a historic mansion on the campus of Oakland University, was recently vandalized and police are hoping the public can help identify the suspect.

ROCHESTER HILLS/AUBURN HILLS/BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP/TROY — A high school student was taken into custody after reportedly stabbing another student at Avondale High School.

GROSSE POINTE SHORES — Given that the city’s in-house ambulance and emergency medical service is a major point of pride, the newest member of the Grosse Pointe Shores Public Safety Department should be an ideal fit, given his medical background.

NOVI — After more than 26 years as a Novi police officer, and with a tear in his eye, Novi Police Cmdr. Jason Meier left the precinct for the last time as an officer on Jan. 31. However, the imprint he left on the department, his colleagues and others remains.

WARREN — There was no one telling them they had to help out, other than maybe their conscience or lingering holiday spirit. Whatever it was, two Warren police officers went above and beyond their on-the-clock duties for a family in need.

ROSEVILLE — A Warren man was arraigned in 39th District Court Jan. 30 for allegedly robbing a bank in Roseville.
