BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP — A Detroit man was recently charged with breaking into the home of a deceased Bloomfield Township homeowner and stealing personal items.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, resulting in a serious injury, at around 7:30 p.m. April 14 in the Target parking lot located near 26 Mile Road and Van Dyke Avenue.

ROSEVILLE — According to Deborah Desmarais, her son, Lawrence Faller, was a person known in the Roseville neighborhood where he’d often stay. He could often be seen on his green mountain bike in the area.

WARREN — Three people arrested during the seizure of cocaine, fentanyl and guns were charged with the possession and manufacturing of narcotics during their arraignments on April 10 in the 37th District Court in Warren.

MOUNT CLEMENS — A 25-year-old Clinton Township mother pleaded no contest to an involuntary manslaughter charge in the death of her son on April 15.

SOUTHFIELD — Just a stone’s throw away from the Southfield Police Department, an angry customer reportedly pulled a gun on a Chipotle employee at 6:52 p.m. April 5 in the 26000 block of Evergreen Road.

ROCHESTER — Three people were recently arrested in connection to a new business that Rochester police are saying was being used as a prostitution operation.

GROSSE POINTE WOODS/DETROIT — A Grosse Pointe Woods man who was accused of fatally shooting his younger brother last year has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter.

WARREN — A group of 32 Warren residents recently completed an eight-week Citizens Police Academy where they learned aspects of police work and celebrated with a graduation ceremony at Warren City Hall on April 2.

ROSEVILLE — The Roseville Police Department announced its re-accreditation by the Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police at an April 9 City Council meeting.

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP — An 85-year-old woman from Bloomfield Township allegedly was swindled out of $160,000 by her caretaker, according to Bloomfield Township police.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — Wrong-way drivers have been in the news lately, and the Shelby Township Police Department was notified of a wrong-way driver heading northbound on the M-53 Freeway in the southbound lanes of traffic in the area of M-53 and 23 Mile Road at 11:56 p.m. March 18.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — The Shelby Township Police Department arrested three suspects in connection with vehicles that had been broken into in March.

WARREN — Warren police said an arrest was made less than 24 hours after a Cousino High School student reported that a stranger approached her and attempted to persuade her into his vehicle as she was walking home from school on April 3.

WARREN — On April 12, a Warren police officer responding to a domestic violence call on Garbor Drive shot and killed a man who was reportedly armed with a handgun.

ST. CLAIR SHORES — The former St. Lucy School will temporarily house the administrative offices for the St. Clair Shores police and fire departments during planned construction at their respective facilities.

WARREN — Two suspects allegedly stole more than $25,000 worth of jewelry from a local store on March 28 and were later arrested.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP/WARREN — On April 1, in 41B District Court in Clinton Township, a Macomb County Jail inmate and his alleged co-conspirator were arraigned and charged with plotting to kill the husband of the co-conspirator.

WARREN — A 37-year-old Warren man has been charged after a shooting left another man critically wounded after a party on April 6.
