The Novi Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a Novi man with mental health issues who went missing from his group home late Saturday afternoon.

Hans Brinkman, 53, has schizophrenia affective disorder and takes multiple antipsychotic medications, according to police. He has no car, phone or way to secure money, according to a police press release. He was last seen at 3:50 p.m. Saturday at his group home on Jamestowne Road, which runs north off 10 Mile Road, between Novi and Taft roads. At that time, Brinkman was wearing a gray T-shirt with blue pants and a white baseball cap.   

Brinkman stands 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds, He has a large brown beard and brown hair that is balding in the front.
