But on Tuesday, Aug. 30, county officials broke ground on a project to replace the aging facility with a brand-new headquarters for the Marine Division. 

WARREN — Two children were hospitalized, one with severe injuries, after being electrocuted by a live wire Aug. 30, according to Warren police.

ROSEVILLE — A Roseville man escaped a house fire without injuries Aug. 30 after his neighbors alerted him to the fire.

WARREN — A woman from Warren is facing charges following the death of a Detroit woman from a vehicular crash.

ROSEVILLE — The Rev. Charles Winfield, of Fresh Start Ministries, became emotional when speaking to local media Aug. 12 regarding the new women’s shelter that will open on the church’s Roseville campus this fall.

FRANKLIN — For several years, downtown Franklin has been awaiting a renovation to its streetscape. Construction has finally concluded, and the village is preparing a celebration to enjoy the new safe and clean downtown Aug. 24.
