SOUTHFIELD — The Oakland County Board of Commissioners’ gun buyback pilot program included four events in October 2022, with a total collection of 353 weapons, including five assault rifles, and more than $35,000 in gift cards given out in Auburn Hills, Berkley, Bloomfield Township, Ferndale, Lathrup Village, Royal Oak and Southfield.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — An 84-year-old Harrison Township man has been arraigned in connection with the death of a pedestrian in July.  Richard Munro was arraigned in the 41B District Court in Clinton Township on Nov. 28 for the July 3 death of a 47-year-old Troy resident, Mehn A. Sinh, who was crossing Jefferson Avenue.

OAKLAND COUNTY — Oakland County Parks and Recreation is encouraging people to not sacrifice their health and wellness goals just because of the cold weather.

MOUNT CLEMENS — According to a press release from the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office, on Nov. 23 the sheriff’s enforcement team, along with the Drug  Enforcement  Administration  Federal  Anti-Narcotics  Team  of  Macomb —  DEA FANTOM — executed two search warrants for narcotics in West Bloomfield Township and Detroit.
