Happy’s Pizza Mount Clemens celebrates 17 years

MOUNT CLEMENS — Happy’s Pizza Mount Clemens has been a staple in the community for 17 years. Longevity like that is about more than selling pizza.

“Serving the community, donating, assisting and helping with various events and fundraisers, we’ve done that all throughout the years,” said franchise owner Anthony Pellerito.

While many things have changed since the shop opened in Mount Clemens, the quality and service at Happy’s Pizza have stayed the same.

“I’ve had many of the same employees through the years, working to make the food consistent,” Pellerito said. “Everything is fresh. The dough is made daily. We use quality products. We don’t just slap things together. Everything has been done this way for years and has not changed. We’ve kept it the same.”

Pellerito said many customers from the surrounding neighborhood have been coming to Happy’s Pizza for years.

“You see people grow up in 17 years. You see a lot of change,” he said. “You see the good in people and you communicate with them and learn about their lives.”

With 50-plus items on the menu at Happy’s Pizza, there’s something to please any appetite.

“You can call us a one-stop shop,” Pellerito said. “Instead of going to get three different things from three different places, you can get everything from us — pizza, ribs, chicken and seafood. You can feed the whole family with the great pricing we’ve had over the years.”

Making the menu at Happy’s is more complicated due to the number of choices, but Pellerito said that’s a good thing. “It’s also more rewarding, because you have more you can offer,” he said.
