June 10 • Harrison Township

As part of the DNR's free fishing weekend, the 18th Harrison Township Kids Fishing Derby will drop its line in Lake St. Clair Metropark from 8 to 11 a.m. June 10. Competitors will be divided into three age groups — 3-6, 7-10 and 11-16 — with prizes going to those who catch the most fish and those who catch the largest fish. And if nothing is biting, a bad day fishing will still be better than a good day at school, as free hot dogs and snacks will be provided. To register, visit harrisontownshipmi.gov/residents/parks_and_recreation/fishing_derby.php.
