CLINTON TOWNSHIP — The Clinton Township Gratiot Cruise rumbled through the sweltering heat for its 21st year on August 4.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — Polish up that classic car in the garage: August 4 is its time to shine. The Clinton Township Gratiot Cruise will be returning for the 21st year. The annual event revs up at 8 a.m. and comes to a halt at 6 p.m. The opening ceremony for the event is set for 11 a.m.

ROYAL OAK — The annual car show hosted by the Royal Oak Historical Society is coming up from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 3 at the museum, 1411 W. Webster Road.

CLAWSON — The beloved Clawson Lions car show, Down on Main Street, will return for its 26th year on Aug. 10.

METRO DETROIT — It didn’t take long for David White and Dan Heming to become friends for life. From the moment they met in 1968 as student naval aviators in the U.S. Navy, they formed an immediate bond when stationed in Pensacola, Florida, and Meridian, Mississippi.

ROCHESTER – The Rochester Lions Club is hosting its 24th annual “Rockin Rods n’ Rochester” car show Sunday, Aug. 11 on Walnut Boulevard in downtown Rochester starting at 9 a.m.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — For the third year, a classic car show will be making a pit stop from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 27 at Pine Ridge Villas of Shelby.

STERLING HEGHTS — On June 24, the Fun Time Cruzers held their final Monday Night Cruise-In at Lakeside Mall. Knowing it was the last event at the mall location, about 500 classic car owners drove their vintage vehicles into the food court parking lot, where the event had been held for the past two decades.

MADISON HEIGHTS — A two-in-one car show and barbecue contest will bring together fans of both subcultures at Civic Center Plaza this fall.

ROYAL OAK — The Crusaders for Children biker group will host its third annual bike and car show July 13 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Acorn Post #1669 at 214 E. 4th St. in Royal Oak.
