SHELBY TOWNSHIP/UTICA — It’s been a full-circle moment for Shelby Township native Charlie Hayes. For the past two years, Hayes has made the trip back to the Utica Community Schools district to work with local lacrosse players at a middle school and high school lacrosse camp.

ST. CLAIR SHORES — St. Clair Shores is making its way to the Michigan Girls High School Hockey League for 2023-2024.

MACOMB COUNTY — The beauty of having a massive body of water like Lake St. Clair at the tip of your fingers is the endless fishing and boating opportunities to be had.

NOVI — Novi and Northville are now home to two internationally renowned pickleball players after they made their mark in overseas play.

TROY — Pampa Kannada Koota, a local Indian cultural organization, is inviting the community to join them for a volleyball and throwball tournament to help them raise money and resources for schools in Detroit.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — In his senior year at Warren De La Salle Collegiate High School at the 2022 Michigan High School Division 1 State Finals, Shelby Township native Nathan Iacona ended his final high school season with an eighth-place finish in the 400-meter, earning all-state honors.
