NOVI — Matt Heslop, one of the first students to enter the Novi Adult Transition Center program, which teaches life and employment skills to people ages 18-26 who have various cognitive disabilities, graduated June 8 with a part-time job offer from Chartwells School Dining Services.

GROSSE POINTE WOODS — The Grosse Pointe Woods City Council publicly recognized several local students for their artistic expressions about the value of trees.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — Mark LaCombe, a Stevenson High School Manufacturing, Automation and Design Engineering teacher, was named Educator of the Year by the Michigan Design Council and was recognized at the Michigan Design Prize 2023 Awards Ceremony on June 7.

STERLING HEIGHTS — More than a dozen high school graduates and college students have some extra funds to help them on their college or vocational journeys thanks to the organized efforts of the Sterling Heights Area Community Foundation.
