WARREN — Commuters who use Van Dyke Avenue in Warren might want to seek an alternate route this month.

NOVI — Those traveling down Interstate 96 between Kent Lake Road and Interstate 275 might have noticed some orange markings on the road as they entered and exited the construction zone. The Michigan Department of Transportation has partnered with the Automotive Safety Council to test the markings during the Flex Route Project construction.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — The Clinton Township Board of Trustees began their regular meeting Oct. 3 with a presentation on road work.

FERNDALE — The Woodward Moves project is gearing up to begin this month in Ferndale.

ROYAL OAK — An intersection at the border of Royal Oak and Beverly Hills will be turned into a roundabout next year.

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP — Long Lake Road, between the north and south legs of Franklin Road in Bloomfield Township, will be closed for emergency repairs of a failing sanitary sewer starting the week of Sept. 19.

ROSEVILLE — Westbound Interstate 94 remains closed several hours after a multivehicle crash closed it during the morning of Sept. 13.

FERNDALE — The Ferndale City Council approved a contract with the Michigan Department of Transportation Aug. 8 for its upcoming Woodward Moves project.

ROCHESTER HILLS — Members of the community are invited to gather Sept. 20 to give their thoughts on Adams Road.

GROSSE POINTE FARMS/SHORES — Emergency repairs to some of the most deteriorated sections of the Lake St. Clair seawall in Grosse Pointe Farms and Shores are underway.

ROSEVILLE — Emergency construction has begun to slow erosion that has been creeping closer to Interstate 94 in Roseville.

NOVI — The City Council voted 4-2 during its regular meeting Aug. 8 to approve a purchase agreement for lighting to be placed around the area of Nine Mile and Taft roads where a roundabout is under construction.

ROSEVILLE — The Macomb County Public Works Office has engaged a contractor to address erosion that is slowly creeping toward Interstate 94 in several places in Roseville.

NOVI — A roundabout will be constructed at the intersection of Taft and Nine Mile roads beginning Aug. 13. The Novi City Council approved the construction agreement with the Michigan Department of Transportation during its July 11 meeting.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP — Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel highlighted upcoming bridge repair and replacement projects throughout the county at a press conference on Aug. 5.

OAKLAND TOWNSHIP/ROCHESTER HILLS — Motorists driving through Oakland Township and Rochester Hills may notice traffic congestion in certain areas.

GROSSE POINTE CITY — Roadwork on Rivard Boulevard in Grosse Pointe City turned out to be more challenging than originally expected.

BIRMINGHAM — During a recent Birmingham City Commission meeting, the commission passed a resolution directing the Engineering Department to proceed with the final design of the Westwood, Raynale and Oak Street project to include sewer and water improvements.
