ROCHESTER HILLS — The first phase of a four-year study on the Adams Road corridor is now complete, and officials are looking to the future for more answers.

GROSSE POINTE WOODS — As motorists and pedestrians know, the intersection of Mack Avenue and Vernier Road in Grosse Pointe Woods is extremely busy and can be dangerous, especially when students from Parcells Middle School and even nearby Mason Elementary School are dismissed for the day.

STERLING HEIGHTS — While there’s no promise of Easy Street, Sterling Heights officials hope that an upcoming study on traffic safety will bring more order to the roads.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — The Clinton Township Board of Trustees had parks and recreation on their minds at its Feb. 13 meeting. While not the only subject members of the board spoke about, discussions and votes related to parks and recreation kept popping up throughout the meeting.

EASTPOINTE — Construction has already begun on the Modern Nine Main Street Project.

WARREN — At their Jan. 10 meeting, Warren City Council members voted unanimously to approve a $112,984 cost-sharing agreement with Macomb County for engineering designs linked to a construction project along Mound Road from Eight Mile Road to Interstate 696.

BIRMINGHAM — The early stages of the South Eton construction project are underway as the city of Birmingham works on gathering feedback from the community.

ORCHARD LAKE — Last year saw the beginning of a project that had been long anticipated by officials in Orchard Lake.

SOUTHFIELD — If all goes the way some hope, there could be exciting additions coming to some communities in Oakland County.

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP — The emergency repair of a failing sanitary sewer on Long Lake Road has uncovered the need for more repairs, extending the project a couple of months in Bloomfield Township.

NOVI — Construction to install two new culverts under 10 Mile Road, between Meadowbrook and Haggerty roads, began Jan. 5.

ROCHESTER HILLS — Phase two of a major construction project on the Oakland-Macomb County border is underway, closing sections of Avon Road.

BERKLEY — Coolidge Highway’s complete streets program has been ongoing for more than three years, and recently the Berkley City Council reviewed recommendations on the future of the pilot project.

WARREN — The discovery of a sinkhole in Warren has led to repairs that may have prevented a bigger problem.

ROYAL OAK — Rochester Road will be undergoing a big change in 2023, though some residents are not a fan of what’s to come.

GROSSE POINTE CITY — Winter might be just around the corner, but Grosse Pointe City leaders are already making plans for roadwork in 2023.

TROY — The Troy Downtown Development Association has announced plans for a new landscaping design for the Big Beaver corridor.

OAKLAND COUNTY — The cities of Berkley, Huntington Woods, Oak Park and Royal Oak are partnering to attain a grant for a “reconnecting communities pilot” project on 11 Mile Road.

MACOMB COUNTY — The Macomb County Public Works Office has announced the launch of a new underground infrastructure project aimed at reducing the number of discharges of combined sewer overflows into Lake St. Clair.
