MADISON HEIGHTS — When a written letter threatening violence was discovered last month at Lamphere High School in Madison Heights, school officials immediately began working with Madison Heights police to determine its origin and the suspect behind it.

FARMINGTON HILLS —  A suspect who fired shots at police officers is facing multiple charges. 

EASTPOINTE — Eastpointe High School briefly went into lockdown the morning of Oct. 3 when a student was found to have a fully loaded weapon in his possession.

WARREN — An investigation into an early morning crash involving a Warren police SUV and a Dodge Durango that left two men dead and two Warren officers hospitalized remained ongoing Oct. 4.

SOUTHFIELD — Southfield Police Department school resource officers were notified at 10 a.m. Sept. 16 that students had informed school security that a student was in possession of a firearm at Southfield A&T High School, located in the 24000 block of Lahser Road.

ROCHESTER HILLS — A Rochester Hills man who admitted to stealing the deposits of prospective business owners after their deals failed is headed to prison, according to Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel.

A vulnerable adult who went missing Saturday afternoon has been found safe.
