METRO DETROIT — A Warren man was arraigned in the 37th District Court March 12 for his alleged role in multiple thefts, which targeted vehicles in Warren.  He faces similar charges in Washington Township.

DETROIT — A Warren man was sentenced to a year in federal prison for his role in painting racist graffiti on a predominantly Black church in Roseville.

A 25-year-old resident of Troy was shot in the parking garage of Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital March 20.

SOUTHFIELD — At 1:30 a.m. March 2, Southfield Police Department officers were dispatched to a hotel located on the Northwestern Highway service drive after a clerk at the front desk reported that a woman approached the front desk and said she was fearful of her boyfriend.

TROY — Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced charges against the owner of the Oxford Center and three employees in connection with the death of 5-year-old Royal Oak resident Thomas Cooper.

ROCHESTER HILLS — Police are investigating after a bullet was found in a classroom at Van Hoosen Middle School March 11.

WARREN — A Detroit police officer was arraigned in the 37th District Court March 4 after he allegedly sent inappropriate text messages to a girl from Warren.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP — A plan to add a social worker to the Clinton Township Police Department’s headquarters was announced Feb. 28.

HAZEL PARK — A 16-year-old student at Hazel Park High faces multiple charges after he reportedly threatened another student with a firearm in the boys’ locker room.
