TROY — The University of Michigan’s star running back Blake Corum will be on hand with other Wolverine Football stars at Somerset Collection on Saturday, Dec. 9 for a holiday charity event collecting toys and supporting families for the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries.
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., “the BC2 Holiday Toy Drive with Blake Corum” will be in the North Grand Court to take photos with guests and accept new, unwrapped toys that will be donated to the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries. Corum will then be joined by Michigan Football stars from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., who will sign memorabilia for fans.
“In my four years at Michigan, the support from the metro-Detroit community has been incredible” Corum said in a press release. “This event is a reflection of Michigan Football's deep appreciation for the community that has done so much for our team. We are excited to give back and make a difference in the lives of local children through the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries. A special thanks to the Somerset Collection and the Michigan Army National Guard for their support; they will be joining us on site for the collection and distribution of the toys."
Tickets are being sold for $125. Guests will receive one autograph per player and are encouraged to bring their prized Wolverine memorabilia and will be provided with a complimentary poster upon arrival at the signing event.
