Man accused of ‘rubbing himself against’ three women

ROCHESTER HILLS — A Rochester Hills man accused of ‘rubbing himself’ against three employees of a beauty supply store is facing criminal sexual conduct charges.

Dante Fermin Colon, 27, was arraigned Oct. 12 in 52-3 District Court on three counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct, a misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in prison or a fine of not more than $500.

The incident that led to Colon’s arrest reportedly occurred after 4 p.m. Sept. 22 at a beauty supply store in the 2800 block of South Rochester Road in Rochester Hills.

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said that on separate occasions involving three different female store employees, Colon asked for assistance while standing near the men’s fragrance section of the store.

Each time, he asked to see a fragrance that was on the bottom shelf of the display case, police said. As the employees reached for the item, Colon moved close behind them and “rubbed himself against” the employee, police said. The women told investigators that Colon was sexually aroused.

After one of the employees mentioned her encounter with Colon to the other women, they shared their similar experiences and concluded that the touching was not accidental. They obtained a license plate number for Colon’s vehicle before he left the parking lot and reported the incident to police.

In one instance, deputies said, Colon touched the employee six or seven times.

Colon was arrested Oct. 12 by the Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Team. At press time, Colon was being held in the Oakland County Jail on $10,000 cash or surety bond, and he was ordered to wear an electronic tether if he is released on bond.

Colon’s attorney, Nicholas Somberg, could not be reached for comment at press time.
