ROCHESTER HILLS — The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a threat was reported at Stoney Creek High School Sept. 20. According to reports, the school was put on lockdown at around 11:48 a.m.

NOVI — Approximately 100 people took part in the 43rd annual ceremony held at the Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens memorial for service members who were prisoners of war or missing in action during National POW/MIA Remembrance Day Sept. 16.

EASTPOINTE/WARREN — Warren City Councilman Eddie Kabacinski was sentenced Sept. 19 for disturbing the peace when he reportedly handcuffed a counterdemonstrator at a rally in support of then-president Donald Trump in October 2020.

WARREN — An arrest has been made after a social media threat closed several schools in the Warren Consolidated School District Sept. 14.

WARREN — Police said a motorcyclist died in a crash in Warren Sept. 13.  At approximately 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Warren police and firefighters were dispatched to the area of 13 Mile and Schoenherr roads for a report of a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck.

ROSEVILLE — Westbound Interstate 94 remains closed several hours after a multivehicle crash closed it during the morning of Sept. 13.

ROSEVILLE — A man who has repeatedly refused to participate in court hearings related to charges that he is facing for allegedly killing a woman and setting her home on fire in 2021 was found incompetent to stand trial.
