ROCHESTER — Downtown Rochester will soon have a new, elevated farmers market that officials are calling Market + The Graham.

FRASER — Fraser residents flowed through the Fraser Lions Club hall to get more information about a potential Sheetz location at the former State Bank of Fraser.

STERLING HEIGHTS — You have less than three months left to make your final purchases at Lakeside Mall, according to a joint press release announcement from Lakeside Mall’s ownership and Sterling Heights.

UTICA — The Mejier store on Hall Road in Utica recently received an award from the St. Paul of Tarsus Church Food Pantry for donations through the store’s Simply Give program over the last 10 years.

SOUTHFIELD — In a 5-2 vote, the City Council approved a third recreational marijuana retail facility in Southfield April 15.

STERLING HEIGHTS — In a split 4-3 vote, the Sterling Heights City Council approved deals April 2 that will transfer received grant money to Lakeside Mall’s ownership to resolve real estate negotiations needed to get the Lakeside area’s redevelopment process moving forward.

HAZEL PARK/MADISON HEIGHTS — Enhancements to Hazel Park’s main street and new park lights in Madison Heights are among 15 projects in Oakland County set to receive federal funds.

MOUNT CLEMENS — Mount Clemens city commissioners approved the sale of a city-owned parcel on April 15 to help with the construction of a new apartment complex.

ROYAL OAK — A public hearing was held at the April 9 Royal Oak Planning Commission meeting regarding a proposal from Corewell Health for an outpatient medical clinic and medical office.

SOUTHFIELD — At its April 1 meeting, the Southfield City Council discussed Cloud Opportunity’s request to build and operate a one-story recreational marijuana retailer at 28610 Northwestern Highway.

ROYAL OAK — Royal Oak residents were unhappy with the Planning Commission April 9 when it approved a plan to build an apartment complex on the site of an old bank at the northeast corner of Rochester Road and Genesee Avenue, which is south of 14 Mile Road.

UTICA — The Utica City Council reviewed the marijuana business ordinance that it had approved at its Feb. 13 City Council meeting and determined March 12 that some changes needed to be made in order to be fair, competitive and transparent.

ROSEVILLE — Drivers getting off the eastbound Interstate 94 exit at Gratiot Avenue in Roseville will be greeted by a new mural.

EASTPOINTE — The city of Eastpointe is considering an ordinance that would allow it to give out a certain number of recreational marijuana licenses. While some residents have shown support, many have attended City Council meetings to voice their opposition to the ordinance.
