STERLING HEIGHTS/WARREN/TROY — Warren Consolidated Schools Board of Education member Brian White is stepping down from the school board.
On April 1, the district’s Public Relations Specialist Renee Burch issued a press release that states the resignation is effective April 15. The reasons for the resignation were not disclosed.
“On behalf of Warren Consolidated Schools, I would like to thank Mr. White for his dedication to our students, staff and the community,” Superintendent John C. Bernia, Jr. said in a prepared statement. “Mr. White has served this district for the past 20 years and has been instrumental in bringing exceptional programs and services to WCS students. We wish him all the best.”
District officials are seeking applicants to fill the board vacancy. The appointment expires Dec. 31, 2026. Interested residents of Warren Consolidated Schools may apply by visiting wcskids.net/Board-of-Education/vacancy/index.html.
The deadline to apply is 4 p.m. April 8.
