OAKLAND TOWNSHIP — Oakland Township had a busy 2022, according to Township Manager Adam Kline.

METRO DETROIT — This month, staff and students from local school districts will honor their local school boards in observance of School Board Recognition Month.

CENTER LINE/WARREN —  The Center Line Public Schools Board of Education recently received an update on the district’s Academy 21 program.

WARREN — To show their school pride and share it with the public, Warren Woods Tower High School students and staff recently unveiled the 13-minute “Lip Dub 22” on the internet.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — The Shelby Township Police Department has received reports of someone in the Rochester and Shelby Township area who has impersonated a police officer and made false traffic stops on vehicles.

STERLING HEIGHTS/SHELBY TOWNSHIP/UTICA — At the Dec. 19 Utica Community Schools Board of Education meeting, the UCS Board of Education honored Plumbrook Elementary School student Mila Sikes, who, as the Beaumont Children’s ambassador for the Children’s Miracle Network, has helped raise more than $500,000 for the organization.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — The Burgess-Shadbush Nature Center at River Bends Park in Shelby Township will host its annual Family Fun Day to teach about winter survival from 1 to 4 p.m. Jan 22.
