SHELBY TOWNSHIP — A local pool contractor was arrested and charged with fraud earlier this month after allegedly not following through with his contract with a local woman who hired him to build a pool in her backyard.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — U.S. Rep. John James met with seniors and employees at the Shelby Township Senior Center Aug. 10 to discuss potential improvements to the facility that could be funded by $1.5 million in Community Project Funding that James advocated for in the U.S. House appropriations bill for fiscal year 2024 for Transportation, Housing and Urban Development and for related agencies.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — A 27-year-old resident of Detroit is facing a charge of carrying a concealed weapon following a traffic stop in Shelby Township during the early morning Aug. 5

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — According to a press release from the Shelby Township Police Department, a fatal traffic crash occurred just before 11 p.m. Aug. 18 in the area of Van Dyke Avenue and Elizabeth Ann Road.

STERLING HEIGHTS — A vehicle that was trying to outrun the cops was reportedly involved in a crash that killed a Sterling Heights woman Aug. 12, Sterling Heights police said.
