FARMINGTON HILLS — Officers from the Farmington Hills Police Department responded to the Timber Ridge Apartments after receiving a 911 call reporting a stabbing in progress at approximately 1:50 a.m. Sept. 29, according to a press release from the city of Farmington Hills.

WARREN — When Piper Bognar began working as McKinley Elementary School principal in 2010, Van Dyke Public Schools Board of Education member Eleanor Bates was there to welcome her.

WARREN — A 13-year-old Carter Middle School student was arraigned on charges Oct. 17 after he allegedly threatened to “shoot up the school and kill a student.”

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — A man has been arraigned for allegedly murdering his mother-in-law in her Shelby Township home Oct. 12.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP — A Utica Community Schools bus was involved in a crash in Shelby Township Oct. 13 on Schoenherr Road.

It was rivalry weekend all around the state of Michigan, and the bragging rights for the city of St. Clair Shores were up for grabs on Oct. 13 at Lake Shore High School for the game against Lakeview.
