Milestone rushing stats, game winners sum up week five football

Birmingham Groves 35, South Lyon 0: Birmingham Groves senior Chris Little had a punt return for a touchdown and senior Wyatt Shortridge had a fumble recovery for a touchdown. Senior quarterback Ryan Counts and senior running back Noah Sanders each added a rushing touchdown in the win.

 

Birmingham Seaholm 38, Troy 7: Seaholm junior Patrick Hughes had two rushing touchdowns and a passing touchdown to senior Nathan Walsh. Walsh also added an interception and senior Alejandro Rauth and senior Kyle Moore each tallied a rushing touchdown. Troy senior quarterback Noah Oury connected with senior wideout Jaielen Peacock for a 10-yard touchdown.

 

Center Line 60, Eastpointe 0: Center Line sophomore running back Masai Ali ran eight times for 135 yards and three touchdowns while senior quarterback Ethan Goralski connected with senior wideout Elijah Williford for a 30-yard touchdown pass. Senior Keegan Dunne recorded nine tackles and junior defensive back Anton Davenport had two kick returns for a touchdown.

 

Clinton Township Chippewa Valley 34, Utica Eisenhower 31 (OT): Chippewa Valley senior Jordan Alston threw three touchdown passes to senior wideout DeShaun Lanier for 56 yards and a pair of 10-yarders, including the game winner in overtime. Eisenhower senior quarterback Jake Bullock threw for 315 yards and two touchdowns while also adding 60 yards and a score on the ground.

 

Detroit Catholic Central 37, Bloomfield Hills Brother Rice 14: Catholic Central senior quarterback Skyler Hunter threw two touchdowns to juniors Matthew Williams and Samson Gash while senior running back Jaden Pydyn rushed for two touchdowns, including a 40-yard score. Senior running back Lee Krueger also added a rushing touchdown in the win.

 

Harrison Township L’Anse Creuse 48, St. Clair Shores Lakeview 35: L’Anse Creuse senior running back Donovan Rey exploded for 291 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Lancers. Lakeview had rushing touchdowns from senior Eric Simmons, senior Aidan Daniels, junior Gavin McKee (2), and senior Terrell McCurdy.

 

Hazel Park 46, Madison Heights Madison 34: Hazel Park junior running back Montrell Park put the team on his back with 302 rushing yards and four touchdowns while junior Will Eddy and sophomore Elijah Cobb each added a rushing score. Cobb and Eddy also connected for a passing touchdown in the win.

 

Macomb Dakota 42, Romeo 7: Dakota senior quarterback Jadon threw a 74-yard touchdown pass to senior DiMari Malone, who also had a fumble recovery for a touchdown. Ford also connected with senior Brady Hamby on a 28-yard touchdown throw while sophomore running back Jeramiah Aaron rushed for two touchdowns in the win.

 

North Farmington 19, Oak Park 18: North Farmington junior quarterback Terrance James rushed for two touchdowns while senior running back Dezmon Blanch added a rushing score in the win.

 

Orchard Lake St Mary’s 48, Detroit Country Day 0: St Mary’s senior running back Darrin Jones Jr. rushed for 115 yards and three touchdowns while junior Reece Hurst and senior Bryson Williams each added a rushing score. Williams and sophomore Chad Willis also had a touchdown reception each. 

 

Oxford 18, Rochester Adams 17: Oxford senior Jake Champagne hauls in the game-winning touchdown.

 

Pontiac Notre Dame Prep 57, Reed City 26: Notre Dame Prep junior Sam Stowe had himself a day, throwing for 360 yards and five touchdowns with senior wideout Joey DeCasas hauling in 236 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Senior Billy Collins also had a touchdown catch and 135 yards rushing while senior Drew Heimbuch (2) and DeCasas (1) also added rushing scores in the win.

 

Roseville 47, Utica 0: Roseville senior Desmond Straughton rushed for 147 yards and three touchdowns while senior defensive end Elijah Jolly tallied nine tackles and two sacks in the win.

 

Warren Fitzgerald 26, Warren Woods Tower 0: Sophomore Angelo Lipscomb rushed for 105 yards and three touchdowns while junior JJ Maddox and sophomore Demarrio Johnson each tallied an interception in the win.

 

Warren Mott 35, Warren Cousino 21: Mott senior Wes Gilmore started Friday night action storming out the gate, returning the opening kickoff for an 85-yard touchdown and connecting with senior quarterback Mike Kronner for a 58-yard touchdown on the next drive. Kronner added two rushing touchdowns while senior running back Amare Smith tacked on a rushing score as well. Cousino junior running back Daniel Carter put the team on his back, rushing for 233 yards and a touchdown while junior quarterback Brick Sandridge had a 45-yard touchdown pass to junior wideout Dorian Crawford. Sophomore Damarkus Wright added a four-yard touchdown run in the loss.
