1. Center Line Independence Festival
June 2-4 • Center Line

There's a lot to do and see as part of the Center Line Independence Festival. Bands, food trucks, inflatables, a carnival, magic and games, and a petting zoo will come to Memorial Park, 25355 Lawrence Ave., June 2-4. The carnival will open at 3 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. Saturday and noon Sunday. Fireworks will light up the sky at dusk June 3. The festival is held in conjunction with Run Warren Center Line at Warren City Square, 1 City Square in Warren, and the Cruisin’ 53 parade and car show at City Center Plaza, along Van Dyke Avenue from Eight Mile to 12 Mile roads in Center Line, both June 3. 2. Art on the Grand
June 3-4 • Farmington

Art on the Grand will take place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 3 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 4 along Grand River Avenue, between Farmington Road and Grove Street, in downtown Farmington. The annual juried fine arts and crafts show will have nearly 100 booths featuring ceramics, jewelry and other wearable art, paintings, photography, sculptures, and works made of glass, leather and wood. There will also be an art zone and activities for kids, The Hawk Makerspace, and multiple sponsor and vendor areas. Admission is free. In addition, the Farmington Author and Book Festival will be held 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday only at Memorial Park, 33430 Grand River Ave. The inaugural event will feature more than 50 authors, plus readings and workshops, all coordinated by KickstART Farmington and the Farmington Community Library. 3. Junefest
June 3 • St. Clair Shores

Downtown St. Clair Shores will host Junefest from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 3 along Greater Mack Avenue near Nine Mile Road. The family event consists of a craft fair, sidewalk sales, battle of the bands on two stages, dance performers, Tootsie the Clown and more. Admission is free, with small fees for the train, inflatable, face painting and petting zoo. 4. Birmingham Village Fair
June 1-4 • Birmingham

The 58th Birmingham Village Fair will offer entertainment, rides, music and food June 1-4 at Shain Park on Merrill Street. Hosted by the Birmingham-Bloomfield Chamber, and benefitting 15 local charities, the event will run 2-10 p.m. Thursday, noon-11 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday and noon-9 p.m. Sunday. 5. Ferndale Pride
June 3 • Ferndale

The 13th annual Ferndale Pride is set for 12:30-10 p.m. June 3, and will feature 200-plus-vendors, two stages, 10 food trucks, drag story time and more. The LGBTQAI event will be the city's biggest ever — literally — as it will cover West Nine Mile Road between Woodward Avenue and Livernois Street, portions of Planavon and Allen streets near West Nine Mile, and parts of the parking lots near Planavon and West Nine Mile.
