1. Royal Oak Jingle

The Downtown area will be full of holiday cheer during the Royal Oak Jingle on Saturday. Festivities include a cookie crawl from 1 to 6 p.m.; a light parade at 7 p.m.; horse and carriage rides; free photos with Santa, Mrs. Claus and live reindeer from 8 to 10 p.m.; gifts, music and drinks at the winter market from noon to 10 p.m.; and outdoor games, s’more stations and food trucks. 2. Caroling in the City

Rochester is always bustling with holiday events — and this Sunday folks can participate in Caroling in the City from 5 to 8 p.m. Hear choirs show you how it's really done, and wear your best — or worst — attire for an ugly sweater contest. The night will end in grand style with a community singalong around a huge Christmas tree in the middle of Main Street. While downtown, check out the many illuminated businesses as part of the ongoing and ever-popular Big, Bright Light Show, and look for 12 5-foot fiberglass snowmen on display for the inaugural Snowman Stroll. 3. 'Holiday Pops'
Dec. 11 • Clinton Township
The Macomb Symphony Orchestra will perform "Holidays Pops: By the Fireside" from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts, 44575 Garfield Road in Clinton Township. The show will also feature members of the Macomb Ballet performing excerpts from "The Nutcracker" and the Oakland Choral Society. Tickets are $24 for adults, $20 for seniors (60 and older), $12 for students (13-22) and free for ages 12 and younger at the box office or by phone. 4. Soulful Santa Celebration
Dec. 10 • Southfield
The Southfield Pavilion, 26000 Evergreen Road, will be transformed into a winter wonderland for the Soulful Santa Celebration from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday. Children can visit and take photos with Black Santa, enjoy cookies and hot chocolate, and bring home a craft. Dynamike the Magician will dazzle audiences at 1:15 p.m. and 3 p.m., and the Impulse Dance Academy will perform at 4 p.m. A vendor marketplace will be set up for gift shopping. 5. 'The Nutcracker'
Dec. 10-11 • West Bloomfield
"The Nutcracker" will be performed by Valentina's School of Ballet from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at The Berman Center for the Performing Arts, 6600 W.
