OAKLAND TOWNSHIP — Blossom Ridge, a luxury senior living campus at Adams and Dutton roads in Oakland Township, recently celebrated its three-year anniversary.
Despite having to adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic shortly after opening, the senior living community has remained strong over the years.
“Considering the circumstances, we did very well,” Executive Director of the Blossom Collection Mike Dyki said in an email.
Residents of the community, he said, were still able to engage with one another and partake in small group activities. The facility’s spacious dining room allowed residents to continue to dine while social distancing, and family visits were able to continue, after staff pivoted and set up a vacant room for families to visit in.
“Our policies and protocols were appreciated by both our residents and families,” Dyki said in an email.
The 44-acre resort-style senior living community opened in June of 2019, offering a variety of living options for active adults, along with independent living and assisted living for ages 55 and above.
The retirement community features 21 cottage-style homes, 20 single-level duet paired homes and 48 ranch condominiums, all with attached garages, as well as 100 apartment-style homes in The Grand Residence — which offers planned activities, light housekeeping, linen and concierge services, and more.
Residents of Blossom Ridge have access to a full-service salon and spa, on-site personal assistant services, health education programs through Beaumont, and Andiamo-inspired on-site fine dining. The campus also features a 20-acre park with paved trails and water features, pickleball courts, bocce ball courts, indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness studio, an art studio, a library and a performance studio.
“Our team motto of ‘Lead with Kindness’ is strongly believed, as we treat our residents like family. The team leads from the heart; we believe job titles are not important because we are all leaders in this community,” Dyki said in an email.
“Our caring team of professionals are dedicated and compassionate about senior care,” Blossom Sales Director Jamie Smith added in a statement. “We love what we do.”
Today, the senior living campus continues to flourish, Dyki says.
“Our community is continuing to grow each day with more move-ins, and our family involvement is great. We have retained great staff, which has helped our culture remain strong with compassionate team members,” he said in an email.
